Professional Biography
I am excited to be a part of the sixth grade team here at Washington Middle School! What a GREAT place to be! Engaging students in meaningful mathematics conversation is my passion, and my goal is to help every student see him or herself as a mathematical thinker.
I have been a sixth grade teacher since 2011. Before that I spent time substitute teaching in several classrooms in the area. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education in 2009 and an added endorsement in Middle Level Mathematics from Saint Martin's University in 2010. In the Spring of 2016 I earned my Master of Arts degree in Mathematics Educations (5-9) through WGU.
I have taught all subjects to sixth graders in an elementary school, and I have taught sixth grade math, seventh grade math, and math support at the middle school level. Teaching middle school math is my absolute favorite, and I am thrilled about this upcoming school year!
